The service
Kanji Name Generator converts names into Japanese kanji using ateji — kanji chosen to match the sound of a name while carrying a positive meaning. This is an artistic, phonetic rendering, not an official or certified translation, and kanji combinations are not unique or authoritative.
Digital products
Paid products (tattoo stencil PDFs, wall art prints) are digital files delivered by download after payment. No physical item is shipped. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds and re-delivery.
Intellectual property & usage rights
Once purchased, you may use your generated artwork for personal purposes, including printing, framing, and tattoo application. You may not resell the artwork itself as a standalone product or claim authorship of the underlying kanji design system.
Disclaimer
Kanji meanings and readings are provided for informational and artistic purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that any generated combination is free of unintended connotations in every context. If you plan to use a design permanently (e.g. as a tattoo), we recommend having it reviewed by a fluent Japanese speaker first. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use.
